Bear Or No Bear?

So apparently Koala "Bears" are not bears... who knew?! The Brits that first came to Australia in the 1800s apparently called them Koala Bears because they looked like little bears! They actually develop in their mother's pouch, just like Kangaroos! They are actually most similar to wombats, which also live in Australia. We went to the Daisy Hill Koala Center on Sunday where saw some pretty lively Koalas, who are most known for the 20 hours of sleep they get per day! They were so cute swinging in the trees & one even nearly fell off and looked like he was clinging onto his life! Was so cute & funny!
They also have Koala hospitals and Koala Ambulances here in Queensland, which was pretty cool but sad to see what happened to some of them :( Hopefully soon, I'll get to see a wild Koala!

Had to check our the touristy Surfers Paradise! It wasn't exactly paradise but I did see a couple of people with surf boards, who'd probably like to call themselves surfers... but it wasn't very windy so the waves weren't as huge as I expected them to be. But it's a pretty nice place for good old people watching! I had amazing Ice Cream, which was White Chocolate & Snickers flavoured & we sat and watched the guy playing his guitar for ages & made fun of a couple of weird people! haha all in all a pretty wicked day :-)
