Marrakech #6

The hustle and bustle of Marrakech is actually quite interesting! Our Lonely Planet guidebook made me laugh a lot with it's description of the locals, claiming that the modern Marrakchi women would want to discuss European fashion and happenings. Of course, in reality, the locals actually keep themselves to themselves and probably assume, rightly, that we don't speak Arabic or French. I thought, however, since we wouldn't get a proper insight into their lives, photographing them on their daily duties would be a good way to show what they look like. As for the rest, we can just imagine what those women with their shopping bags are buying at the supermarket today or where the people on the bus are headed.
